They need some wiring and connectors, but that's on its way , 1.5kw and 3KW of sub amplification very soon
Have you looked at the waterfalls with and without the panels?
Test it blindI'm also going to try some different speaker cable as I bought a reel of Monoprice 12AG cable and end it just about the worst cable for twist and coiling I've come across. Ive been using it for internal wiring with cable tied. So I ordered some other cable 12 AG form amazon and thats in place for the external speaker leads but for the sake of 20 minutes I'll A-B just to see if two very similar cables sound the same. I will also ask my partner to see if she hears any difference if I think there is. I am hoping there isn't, Why ? Because that will open up a can of worms and I will Strat wondering what another cable might sound like .
JUST FOR THE RECORD I AM NOT AN ADVOCATE OF EXPENSIVE CABLES, but do know the can and do make a difference in a number of cases, alas experimentation is the only way to find the answers. These cable cost £20 for 50 foot by the way (Please don't 'call me out' on this its is my opinion and I have been experimenting with HiFI and AV for nearly 40 years)
I will ask Jane to listen A or B I can’t so easily do blind myself as I need to unplug and muck around a bit. But fortunately I have no expectation or bias I’m aware of one was £24 for 50 foot the other £17 for 10m. I have managed to get a bit of compliance in the coiled spring (the Monoprice cable) by straightening it and holding it flat and moving it a bit. Perhaps I am biased as it’s quite annoyingTest it blind
If doing that, you should still do it blind if you want accurate results. So don't swap from A to B and back, but instead, unplug it all and toss a coin to see which next, then plug it back in, and repeat. And don't speak to Jane while doing it, just set it up and play as agreed, then change it and play as agreed. Ideally several times, and she can write a list of each demo, and whether she heard a difference, while you write a list of which setup each demo was.I will ask Jane to listen A or B I can’t so easily do blind myself as I need to unplug and muck around a bit.
You won't be able to help telling yourself that you either can or can't tell the difference. If you really want to know, then it has to be blind. But fortunately I have no expectation or bias I’m aware of one was £24 for 50 foot the other £17 for 10m. If there's a substantial difference, then it would suggest one of your cables is faulty. If the differences are tiny then I agree with the mind playing tricks
Did you just build a section and then stuff it with insulation? And if so, did you have one end slightly open (maybe covered in something thin) to allow the sound in?Never did any testing on frequency but I bought some bass traps for the corners of the room and it definitely altered the bass for the better. Much tighter and defined, it had been a while since I watched the The Great Wall but I re watched it briefly in particular the drum section and my Lord what a difference.
Do you have a before and after with the traps I’d be interested in seeing which frequencies it cut ?For a very modest outlay those bass traps from Amazon seems to work for me and with Amazon’s return policy it would be interesting what affect it would give you.
