    My HITACHI PMA400E will be deliverd this friday :D
    Can someone please recommend me a good component cable, i only have a buget of 50-70 pounds to spend at the moment.

    Take a look at IKEA's range of tv stands and tables and hi-fi units. You should find something within your budget.

    Come to think of it, though, IKEA do make some lovely tables for TVs and other stuff......I've got one meself! Cheap as chips!

    I use an Ikea as well, much higher WAF that normall AV stands.

    I was in the same position as u 2 weeks ago and went in search of" component cables" locally (stockport). RS had none in but got the last set of QED P-CV1 Qunex at £64 from Superfi.
    Dont know what there are rated like perhaps someone with knowledge might comment ?

    Well I am well happy with the PQ - it's from an Arcam DV88+ (progressive scan) to Panasonic 42" 4-series. However, I haven't used any other ones, my dealer recommended the cable and I got a discount from them when I bought the player. So I have no comparison to give you with other cables.....

    Just did a quick search and another one that is recommended is the Supra AV3 cable and according to the thread I was reading it's about £50 - £60. I don't know how to do links to threads but try a search for "supra component".

    You dont say what length of cable you require!

    We supply Van Damme, Supra, QED and BetterCables and a set of VanDamme RCA to RCA or RCA to BNC will certainly be within your budget.

    And if you want to go for broke then the BetterCables Silver Serpent Reference will do the trick.

    I bought on from Lektropacks for my Arcam DV88+ to my Panny 42", order code P3B3P (this is 3 phono(RCA) to 3 BNC). It is £38.50 for 1m + £4.00 for each extra metre. I got a 5m cable.

    Well impressed with the quality.

    I'm well happy my Hitachi 42 PMA400E:D


    1)No lip sync problems from sky or dvd

    2)Fan noise,what fan noise you must have ears like a dog to hear it from the sitting position,you have to get really close too hear it.

    3) No flicker unlike the panny 5
