    Hi,

I've got £750 to spend on an LCD, can anyone give me any recommendations, perhaps based on what they own themselves or have heard good things about.

The LCD will be hung over the fireplace (which is never used).

The main things I am interested in are that the size should be 37" (or bigger if possible) and that the TV should give a good picture when showing SD (with Sky) and have not look pixellated when playing DivX (of which it will be doing a lot, almost as much, if not more, than the Sky Digital Channels), which I've seen happen with some of the cheaper LCDs.

It would be great too if the TV was good at showing blacks, as I watch a lot of horror movies :D

Thanks in advance to anyone who makes a contibution

The Sony 40S3000 or with little more the better 40D3000 with 100Hz.There is no need for you to take a 1080p tv
