They've changed the ITV channel (103) over this morning to regions and they've given me the Yorkshire region and I'm not happy about it. I live in Nottinghamshire and we should be covered be Central, so who do I moan to about it ?

It's always been regionalised, hasn't it ? I get Anglia East here in the Fens. You probably need to speak to ITV, because they upload their own programmes.

I had a letter from Sky telling me that the region was being changed today. They've changed me to East Yorks which is an absolute joke if you consider that I'm only 13 miles North of Nottingham.
I phoned ITV and they told me it was Sky I needed to talk to. After waiting for 15 minutes in the queue to speak to someone at Sky I was eventually put through to someone in India who didn't have a clue what I was talking about and said that she couldn't transfer my call
I then phoned Sky in London (customer relations) and argued with the woman there that they can't possibly provide a reasonable level of support using an Indian call centre. She admitted that the people there have never used a Sky box but they have been told how they work

I'm in Newark and also had my region changed to yorks east. The thing is if you go into "add channels" there is a central east in there which I'm assuming is the same as what I receive through the aerial. I'm waiting til to night for the regional news to check it.

surely it would be very simple for sky to allow a viewer to enter in the digibox menus which region they would like on channel 103.

For BBC, I get east midlands :)

I have just checked the regional news and it matches terrestrial ITV!

    Put in the following info.

    SR 22000

    FEC 5/6

    10.832GHz/H

    Then select central east

    Hope this helps

OK, that's allowed me to select ITV Central E channel, where does it put it in the channel list though ? Sorry to be so thick but I've never added channels before !

    this is the crap part.

to select a channel you have added:

    select "services"
    select "other channels"
ITV Central east should be in there

This is the only way I know how to view manually added channels

Aha, that's why I couldn't find it ! Not a very good way of implementing this by Sky is it :D
Thanks a lot for this though mate, it is the right news for me (just checked against my terrestrial) so at least it means I can still view the local news and footage of any Forest/Stags matches that they may show. Slightly more interesting to me than watching a bunch of Yorkshire teams ;)

I suggest you write to your local ITV region. ITV pay a lot of money to get sky to take regions so will be interested and p***ed off if sky aren't getting it right and could demand it sorted for you.

According to them it's ITV themselves who have decided on the regions. I'm now waging war with the ITV Duty Office to try and get to talk to someone who actually knows where Mansfield is and can then realised why I'm not happy about getting the East Yorkshire local news !
Edit. The other annoying thing is that I believe people in the South side of Mansfield have been correctly assigned to the Central East ITV region !
