ITV Now In Widescreen

    Haven't checked out the other regions or ITV2 yet.

    They have all been moving over to anamorphic widescreen at different times over the last 4 days.

    Anglia went two days ago. Still not much on ITV to watch though.

    My girlfriend would disagree. There is Crossroads, Emmerdale, Coronation Street!!!!

    The Granada region has also started widescreen. Still nowt on though. I e-mailed them about Dolby Digital 5.1, they said that they have the capabilties but they had no programmes with it so they won't be using it. That figures!

    London is in widescreen. Anyone else think the picture quality is a bit shoddy though?
    It seemed terrible the other day. What bit rate are they using compared to the other channels?

    I agree with you about the picture quality on ITV sat - but also I seem to lose the sound completely occasionally and it's never happened on the other channels. Also it seems to me that ITV either hardly ever make anything in widescreen or they don't transmit it in widescreen.....
