I have a sky box, but no subscription. I got a free to air card from BBC ages ago and all was well. I got the BBC channels, ITV1, CH4, 5 etc. Then a couple of months ago I lost ITV, 4 and 5. I thought I understood what was going on at that point. Then on Saturday ITV, Ch4 and 5 came back.

Does anyone know why? (not that I'm complaining you understand)

SKY have continued the authorising of older FTV cards using the original Videoguard codes/keys, my FTV card never lost any of the channels, one day the nag banners just stopped. It would be a reasonable assumption that SKY have decided not to p**s off the regulators while an investigation is ongoing into the whole mess.
