Carlton & Granada paid the liquidators about £2.8 m for the boxes. That values them at £2.80 each, and Carlton and Grandada will get some of that money back!
The price sounds right I see they are promising refunds to anyone they have got to pay up. I wonder if they (the liquidators) feel any sense of regret over it, ie making themselves look rather foolish, and how many people are now owed refunds. I'd bet no members here have coughed.
I have had a message pop up on mine saying it is mine to keep. How do they send that message to their boxes only. Or has everyone had that message?
I have heard it has even come up on IDTV's. It certainly came up on my ITVD Pace box which I paid £199 for years ago.
