    Hiya

    Where do these get 'saved'?

I accidently deleted my iTunes folder (including the XML file). I restored from a recent daily backup but they still don't appear in iTunes, yet the date/time stamp on the XML file is correct!

    Any ideas?

Sorry, can't really help but would certainly like to know the best way of backing up a Playlist as a lot of time and effort goes into creating them. :)

    Hi

It's the .itl file you need, not the XML file.

Indeed, you can delete the XML file and it would be automatically recreated when you run iTunes.

The XML file is there to assist with compatibility with third party apps and is read only (in the sense that iTunes writes to it but never reads from it)
