    Hiya,

Just wondering, can I store all my iTunes songs on an external hard drive or do I have to actually store them on the pc itself?

Thanks for your help and sorry for asking such a stupid question!

in theory you should be able to no problem, in the set up stage you would need to choose the external hard drive so its stores the music there.

Yes you can. I've got an external drive connected to my laptop via USB2 and it holds about 80GB of music. :smashin:

    Totally possible.
I have an external Buffalo hard drive and use it to store all my tracks. Just point iTunes to the drive and it will work as normal.
USB2 or firewire is necessary though or you will have a long wait saving or reading the tracks.

Thats the option i also use and its fine as stated above.

Also make sure that you have your external drive plugged in when you rip music to itunes as it gets a bit messy otherwise
