Itunes 10.1 iphone+Ipad

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to download the latest version of itunes, 10.1 l think. Reason l am asking is because my iphone 3gs is on fw 4.1 at the mo, and l want to jb it later(when l feel the need to), will l still be able to use Limera1n with itunes 10.1 to jb?

One more Q(wasnt sure where to post IPAD stuff), is there anyway to activate my ipad without itunes?

iTunes 10.1 doesn't affect Limera1n JB, so it's safe to install. I've it install for my iPhone 4 4.1 jb.

You always need iTunes to activate iPads, iPhones & iPods
