    Hi all,

It's time to upgrade my Nokia 880

I'm currently with Vodafone but after 10 years or so, think it's time to see what else is out there price & network-wise

Despite it's limitations, I really want to stick with a Lumia phone, love the interface etc

I'm not certain is I should just buy a handset & a sim separately

Does anyone have any practical advice & any websites to a compare?

    Thanks a mill :)

If you can afford to then definitely buy handset and SIM separately. That's my best advice.

Another option is to try 3. There have one of the cheapest plan and 4G is free if it's in your area

i went the same way 2 years ago and will never get tied into a contract again paying stupid sums for 2 years.

As for OP,i you like the Lumia range have you looked at Tesco? they currently have the Lumia 920 for £169 which seems a bargain IMO.
I use Tesco £10 pm sim only(30 day rolling contract) tariff which is 600 mins 5000 texts and 1gb of data of which 4G data is now free with tesco. i also have 2 other contracts tied to my account(son and wife) which then gets you 'family benefits'
Our benefits taken were extra 150 mins and an extra 0.25gb of data

All in all i pay £30 pm for 750 mins 5000 sms and 1.25gb of data, son's contract is capped and ours have never gone over our allowance
