For the last week according to tracking its been sat on a truck ready to be delivered . 12 miles away so close but so far . Merry Christmas and a warm hug to Amazon.co.uk

The delivery branch 12 miles don't happen to be open on a Saturday, so you can pick it up do they? I know you shouldn't really have to, but if you need it for Christmas... and you might get some sort of refund too...

Phone them and ask if you can pick it up if you can prove who you are, that you live at the delivery address and can quote the tracking number.

Same thing happened to me last Christmas...twice!!!

I ordered some PC parts.. a 160gb hard drive, and a DVD rom.

Had to go and collect the Hard Drive from the delivery firm Amtrack, because they could not handle the Christmas rush. I showed them the tracking Number, and they gave me the part.

The DVD Rom was the same situation, except that they couldn't find it in the warehouse because it had been put in the return to sender bay.

So.. if you wait too long, it is put in a seperate place, and therefore you can't collect it. Which is probably your situation.

I do this all the time, as delivery drivers can't access our post boxes in my flat, so i never get a card. Their usually fine about picking stuff up, just take your ID (drivers licence etc).
