    Hi,

Have a Panasonic A360 DVD player connected via a quality scart cable to 32" sony widescreen TV.

No problems until now - kids stuck a dvd in and all the whites are showing up pink on the tv. TV is okay on all other inputs - seems like the dvd player is not outputting colour correctly.
Have played with dvd and tv menu options but no change.

    Any ideas most welcome

    Andy

Sorry to diss your scart lead - but that's more than likely the problem.

I had the same problem myself and I had to replace the lead myself because for some reason everything that should be white was showing up pink.

I think if you set the picture output on the DVD to Composite it should right itself.

But still, you need to replace the cable. I'd recommend a Philex Thor.

Is it bright pink (like fuscia)? If so, I suspect you're getting no blue. Try fiddling with the connection at either end.

    Thanks guys,

and you were right, it was the cable.

Put a cheap and nasty scart in and voila - no problems.

Typical eh - spend loads on a 'decent' cable to find it only lasts
    about a year.

Well off down the shops again :-(

    Thanks

    Andy.
