Has anyone had issues with a Griffin iTrip with regards to battery loss?

The wife bought one for her full-sized ipod and it worked on the car stereo for a while but now refuses to pick up on any station and drains the battery immediately.

Prior to this occurance I bought an itrip mini for my ipod and I am now wondering if I have wasted my money? :(

iTrips do use the battery power from the iPod at a greater rate than Griffin would have you believe.I have always plugged mine into a car charger and never had a problem. I would give the iPod a good charge overnight and purchase a car charger for use in the car
