    OK
Now my wife rarely goes to the cinema.
The last time i got her to go was to see Arrival and she found that boring (no surprise) I liked it.
    Shes 49
She does not like scary movies with gore (15/18)
She loves the 9pm made for TV thrillers where there is sometime more gore than in a 15 at the cinema but they are not really scary.
She has not seen the trailer for IT.

The trailer definitely spoils the film (as usual nowadays) as the bet bits are in it.
So im looking forward to her reaction if she goes...

Please vote honestly. This is a serious request!

You sort of answered the question already. This is a scary film with gore. Hence, she wouldn't like it. Sorted.

But I didn't find it scary. The stuff she sees on TV is worse as it's more realistic. That stuff I actually don't like watching as it feels more like real life.

I took my wife, who hates clowns and dislikes horror. She had seen the original TV mini-series many years ago but gave up on the book as that scared her.

She told me she was going to wake me up every time she had a nightmare but I slept through the night. There were some pretty scary moments for her throughout though.

Ha , in my case it would be should the wife take me . I have an irrational fear of clowns :(. Even the toy clown in poltergeist gives me the creeps .
