Question It is normal that I hear such hum from the monitor?

Hey!

So just recently got my Tannoy's Gold 8, the sound is perfect!

But here is a problem, I can hear "hum" from the right monitor. You can listen to it here:

Is it fine? I don't hear the same from the left one. They are connected to Behringer UMC404HD. Using XLR to Jack connection.

Was unplugging the XLR and the hum was still there.

P.S Which is the best connection: XLR to XLR or XLR to Jack? Or there is no difference completely?

Change to the speakers around and see if the hum follows the speaker or not.

Are you saying that with no signal cables connected to the speaker, the hum was still present?

Generally, good quality XLR connections are more reliable than any jacks though neither type of connector should give a hum problem. As Gibbsy suggests above, finding the source of (or reason for) the hum is a process of elimination. Start this process by swapping over the speakers.
