I really enjoyed this one. It's an original idea, and very well executed. The soundtrack is just outstanding. None of the actors are going to win an Oscar any time soon, but the acting was perfectly acceptable.

I loved it! Reminded me of Halloween, candyman and a nightmare on Elm Street.

Got to disagree, just watched this and not only is it not scary in the slightest, but there is no story apart from post pubescenent kids having sex to rid them self of a 'curse'. It also looks like it was produced and directed by students. 5/10 for me but films are highly subjective.

Same for me, love all the 70s and 80s classics like Halloween, The Fog etc but this was average, not scary, but overall dissapointing having listened to all the "my best of the year" quotes. Soundtrack was the best part but even then it's not in the same league as some of the Carpenter classic scores. 6/10 from me.

I thought the first 35 minutes was pretty creepy, not so much scary, but its a very good film.

The acting is pretty good for non name actors and the only thing that let it down for me was the last 20 mins or so, maybe I didn't really get what the director was trying to achieve, but the whole swimming pool bit, felt like he had struggled with an ending and it was the best they could come up with.

Obviously its very budget constrained but its well worth a watch.

Add me to the 'disappointed' list. Especially after all the high praise it's received. I absolutely loved the opening 5 minutes, but I found the music mostly annoying and it's as if the director had a really great idea (which it is), but then didn't know what to do with it.

Scarier films? Well I've been into my horrors for over 25 years now, and for me The Conjuring was in a different league. As someone else has said though, films are very subjective.

I thought it was brilliant and unsettling. Classic cinema no less.

I don't own or watch many 'horror' films so maybe this isn't for people who watch all the constant dumb tat that's released.

A little disappointed after watching this last night although it did have some good scenes. I think the soundtrack was the best bit for me. As already said, Conjuring is in a different league.

I wanted to cut my arm off just 10mins into Jupiter Ascending. It's a disgusting pile of Hollywood sh*t.

One may gather from that if you like JA best to avoid It Follows or any other film where some brain cells may be required :D

Watched it last night........and loved it. So many great scenes and was so glad I avoided spoilers beforehand. Really is no middle ground on this one, its love it or hate it it seems.

I really enjoyed it, but I agree it's scare-factor was low. That's ok with me, provided the story is compelling and the film is well done- which fortunately it was.

I actually thought the concept was terrifying, if not the actual movie. That said, the scene where
'it' (as the tall bloke) suddenly appears behind the girl's friend in the bedroom
made me almost wet the bed.

Another one in the enjoyed it camp. Me and my 18 year lad just watched it.

Lucasisking, I totally agree with that scene! Sent a shiver down my legs for some reason?!?
