Yesterday my Panasonic DMR-HWTT250 started displaying a screen full of html style text over the picture but only when viewing BBC1 or 2 (example attached). All other channels are fine and the pic is fine on direct TV.
I've raised it with the supplier but wondered if anyone on here has more knowledge and can advise?
    Thanks in advance.

Typically, just after posting this, I've found the rogue setting. In case anyone else comes across this, all I did was change the hbbtv setting to off. Don't even know what this does but the text has now gone.

The BBC Launches the First HbbTV Service in the UK - BBC R&D may explain what hbbtv does.

May be worth filing a report with BBC as it's likely a *mistake*... but do be more specific with which BBC ONE (SD, HD which area/transmitter) and BBC TWO are affected for you.

    Hi,
I have a Panasonic TV model TX-40AS640 and if you want to see the Freeview gibberish here is a link, https://photos.app.******/TVi86pdTvVsfEkr63 . Both Panasonic and the BBC have been no use what so ever in solving this problem.

    On my Panasonic HWT-150:

Press Function Menu > Setup > Basic settings > Tuning > HbbTV Setting > Off

IMG_20180121_125054526.jpg Yes I know about that a and I've done it, but of course that isn't the fix that's required. All BBC Freeview channels both SD and HD have the same problem, all have the "D" icon now in the information bar and so do fourteen channels on the SDN MUX in my area. I have no problem with the channels on the SDN MUX. I believe the BBC are mixing the MHEG and HbbTV data streams together and that this may be the problem, my TV (Panasonic TX-40AS640E) does not have MHEG only HbbTV. I've told both the BBC and Panasonic this but they have never mentioned it in their replies to my emails. Thanks for the info anyhow.
