I'm shortly to receive a room kit to assist with asorbtion and diffusion, but ideally i'd like to treat the walls and ceiling for better isolation prior to attaching these materials.

Can anyone give advice on what options exist to help with isolation that do not require any DIY? Are there any adhesive materials that i can affix to the walls (plasterboard) prior to affixing the foam panels?

When you say 'isolation', if you mean that to prevent sound traveling from one room to another, then only mass and an air gap will help do that, so DIY is required (new walls). If there was some magic product that could do that it would sell by the truckload. :)
