Hello folks, Ive been a member here for a while now but never really needed to post before because Ive usually found what Im looking for somehwere in the forums.

I bought an ISIS 40" LCD TV (isi-40-913 TVB 1080 PU) from BestBuy when they were closing down in January. Recently its started switching itself on at strange hours through the night and it seems to have lost all the channels that it was tuned in to! everytime I switch it on I have to go through the first time seup to watch tv and this can take a good few minutes. It finds all the channels but it wont store them because after Ive turned it off when I come to use it again I have to go throught the first time setup procedure all over again!!

Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this? is there an engineers service menu I can access to reset it?
I cant find the receipt or warranty card or I would just call and get it sorted, Im getting a little ****** off with it now lol.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Since this seems to be a Freeview set up related problem I think the OP may get more help on the Freeview forum.

Its actually a tv related problem. Like I said the tv has started switching itself on from standby it wont store anything that has been saved after first time setup and now the epg doesnt work.

All I need to know is if this is a known problem with these sets and if there is a fix.

    Cheers

A Google search suggests they may be made by Toshiba and a software update is probably needed, similar to some Toshiba models with the same symptoms and fixed by a software update supplied on a USB stick.

Ive read these TV's have been linked with Tosh but also with Sharp so I searched the net for a Sharp service menu code which Ive found and seems to work, but after trying a factory reset it doesnt seem to have fixed the problem. I probably do need to update the firmware but I cant find it anywhere.

    Can anyone help?
