Hi I bought the projector from Allan at Ideal AV. I have bought a number of projectors and items from him over the years.

I have all of the original packaging for the projector, and the Cineslide and also packaging for the Isco3 so posting should not be a problem.

I will say though that although my feedback is low I have sold a lot of things on here in the years i have been a member. I lost all my feedback (well over 100) when an old account got merged with this one (long story)

I have placed some pics in the original post as requested.

OK, thanks for confirming this. Do you still have the projector receipt and does this carry a guarantee?
Allan mentioned on another sale that one bought about the same time was under guarantee.

Do you have the 3D kit?

Hi Tigerlaser. Thanks for that. I should have the receipt I will check the box first thing in the morning as it is tucked away.

I am not sure if the warranty is transferable and it would be up to Allan if he would honour it. I can send him an email and ask him if that would be okay. i am sure he would be happy to confirm I purchased it from him.

I did not get the 3D kit when I bought the projector and so that is why I did not list it.

If you are happy to go ahead I will accept the offer including postage and will go to PM?

    Hi.

    I'm interested in the screen.

Please can you give me external dimensions for the screen and dimensions of the visible screen area?

Can the screen be dismantled for transport? Presumably the visible screen surface can be removed from the frame and the frame itself dismantled?

I can collect but I need to work out which vehicle I would need to use.

Is the visible surface of the screen unblemished?

Once I have this info I will be able to make an offer.

    Thank you.

    Hi Dr Ed

The amount of pincushion is usually associated with the throw distance and the size of the anamorphic lens.
The Isco 3 is that it is quite a large lens so as long as your projector is not too close to the screen then the image size as it leaves the projector lens will easy fit well within the centre of the anamorphic lens and there will be little or no pincushion.

My throw was around 18 foot in my old house and 17 foot in my new house and I did not detect any pincushion. The trick is to also get the projector lens and the anamorphic lens as close as possible to each other.
As you get closer with the throw the image size leaving the projector gets larger and once it starts to get to the edges of the anamorphic lens the pincushion will be more visible.

I had a Primasonic lens before the Isco and used to get pincushion on that but I just used to overscan the screen slightly to make it less visible.

The screen size are as follows. Sorry for the metric measurements

    Visible screen
    Width 300 cm
    Height 125 cm

    External frame
    Width 314.5 cm
    Height 139.5 cm

The screen will com apart its a case of removing all the staples and uncrewing the brackets holding the frame together. When I picked it up i used a Mondeo estate and the top and bottom pieces only just fitted.

There are no blemishes on the screen as far as I can see. I will post some more pictures shortly.

Thanks for the dimensions and the additional images.

Can you clarify whether the whole screen (not just the screen fabric) is a Seymour manufactured product? The images of the rear looks like it may be a bespoke item but not actually a metal framed Seymour AV fixed frame which I understand use eyelets and O rings to tension the screen surface.

    Thanks.

I bought it from Allan at Ideal AV and it was a screen he had been using. I did not really ask any questions at the time I just went down and helped take it apart then rebuilt it when I got it home.
Looking at the Seymour website it looks like you are right it does seem to be a bespoke screen.

Is the screen frame metal or wood? Just wondering if it could be cut down as it’s a bit big for my room.

Is there any possibility of shipping it to Ireland?

Finally, do you know what the screen material is?

The screen surround is wood and can easily be trimmed to size.

The material is the Centerstage XD

It would be pretty difficult to pack this to ship to Ireland.
I suppose I could at a push ship the sides and material but the top and bottom are obviously 315 cms and I certainly dont have a box that big nor have any idea of where to get one.

The top and bottom section could probably be cut then metal brackets fitted to fix it back together again but not sure how effective it would be.

I am going to keep this screen together for another couple of days then I will be dismantling it so if anyone is interested in seeing it then speak up now.

The Isco lens also comes with a separate quite substantial stand if a purchaser did not want to mount it on the Cineslide.

I also have a video of the Lens and Cineslide in operation.

I will also be willing to post the Isco abroad as long as the purchaser pays for any extra courrier insurance cost although the lens would be very very securely packed.

    Hi Rigman,

I'm very tempted to make an offer for the screen, however, one thing holding me back right now, and that's getting it to where I want it. We are moving up to Lancs in Feb, and I would be able to borrow suitable transport at that time to get it back to where it would need to be. If we came to a deal now (agreed price and payment), could you wait until Feb for it to be collected?

    Bump

A couple of advantages of using a lens over zooming which a few projectors are capable of these days.

1, You get more light output as your panel is not using 25% of its panel to project black bars.
2, You get to use the full panel for the image by the use of anamorphic stretch. So you get to use all of the pixels for the moving image.
3, Its so cool and with the Cineslide you can go to full cinemascope in a couple of seconds for the full immersive experience.
