How does the lip sync on the iscan HD work?

Does it introduce a constant time delay between the video and audio streams for a particular input ir is is somehow dynamic? The reason I ask is that my NTL box has lip sync issues with some broadcasts but not with most. If the broadcast is at fault then how on eath does the iscan cope with this?

yes it syncs the sound and pictures together, great piece of kit,

you will need to convert it to digital first though. i think maplins sell little boxes for this.

the is an added feature were you can add more delay, but i never use it

From the manual : "iScan HD automatically delays the input audio to match the video processing delay. You can choose to increase or decrease the audio delay by changing this setting."

The iScan delays the audio based on the video processing applied to the input signal. It doesn't automatically correct signals that are input already out of sync (such as sky). You can increase or decrease the automatic setting manually for each input signal (eg. you can set it to +3 for input 1 receiving Sky and to +0 for input 2 receiving DVD).

I tend to adjust it sometimes when watching Sky but never need to touch it for DVD's

None at all. It's all digital input and output so I wouldn't expect any either ;)
