    Hi :)
    I have just ordered an iScan HD+ and am currently contemplating connectivity/deployment within my existing set-up.

    Current set-up :
    Sky+ --- s-Video & Optical ---> AVR-3805
    DVD --- s-Video & Optical ---> AVR-3805
    LCD-TV --- 2RCA ---> AVR-3805 (for Swiss SD Audio only)
    AVR-3805 --- YPbPr ---> LCD-TV

    However, with the introduction of the HD+ I am considering two options for connectivity :

    1. Caters for OSD from AVR-3805
    Sky+ --- s-Video & Optical ---> AVR-3805
    DVD --- s-Video & Optical ---> AVR-3805
    LCD-TV --- 2RCA ---> AVR-3805 (for Swiss RF for Audio only)
    AVR-3805 --- YPbPr ---> iScan HD+
    iScan HD+ --- DVI-D ---> LCD-TV

    2. Use HD+ as intended by DVDO
    Sky+ --- RGBs & Optical ---> iScan HD+
    DVD --- RGBs & Optical ---> iScan HD+
    AVR-3805 --- YPbPr ---> iScan HD+
    LCD-TV --- 2RCA ---> AVR-3805 (for Swiss RF for Audio only)
    iScan HD+ --- DVI-D ---> LCD-TV
    iScan HD+ --- Optical ---> AVR-3805

    Would there be any significant issues with Option 1? This would retain all OSD from AVR-3805 without having to switch between video sources.

    Is there an Option 3, 4 etc?

    How do you have your AVR, Digital TV and DVDs connected within your set-up?

    Your assistance/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Option :
    3. Combination of 2 & 3
    Sky+ --- s-Video & 2RCA ---> AVR-3805
    Sky+ --- RGBs & Optical ---> iScan HD+
    DVD --- s-Video & 2RCA ---> AVR-3805
    DVD --- RGBs & Optical ---> iScan HD+
    LCD-TV --- 2RCA ---> AVR-3805 (for Swiss RF for Audio only)
    AVR-3805 --- YPbPr ---> iScan HD+
    iScan HD+ --- DVI-D ---> LCD-TV
    iScan HD+ --- Optical ---> AVR-3805

    Unless you've run out of Inputs on the iSCanHD+ I'd bypass the AVR-3805 every time - it costs more money to wire via the AV Receiver and it can only degrade the image quality.

    How often are you going to be adjusting your AV Receiver and why is it a hassle to switch to another Input on the iScan to view the AV Receiver.

    Your video connectivity should be:

    SKY+ > iScanHD+ - RGB+Composite sync
    DVD > iScanHD+ - RGB+Composite sync
    AVR-3805 > iScanHD - S-Video
    iScanHD+ > LCD TV - DVI

    Not sure at all what your planning with the Swiss RF audio only source!

    Best regards

    Joe
