    Hi All

Does anyone know if the Yamaha DSPAX640 is the same model as Yamaha DSP-AX640SE.

I have seen the Yamaha DSP-AX640SE on the yamaha site and want to buy one and have seen a site selling a Yamaha DSPAX640 and wanted to know if it is the same model or a different one.

Can anyone clear this up for me.

    Thanks

    Guy

If I remeber rightly from the DSPAX630 models the SE models are Special UK Edition with tweaked components and non SE models are European Imports. I presume you know that the RX-V640RDS is the model with the Tuner is an AV Reciever and the DSPAX640 SE and non SE is just an AV Amp.

Thanks for clearing that up for me yonderblue.

I know that it is an Amp not a Reciever. This is one of the reasons that I want it - I never listen to the radio so I have no need for a tuner.

    Thanks

    Guy

    yonderblue,

Does that mean that the SE and non SE model have exactly the same specification but the SE model just has some of its internal components tweaked?

    Thanks

I'm shocked. Broadcast radio is more important to me than TV, DVDs and even CDs. Without a high quality source of broadcast radio, I would never have experienced the stereophonic workshop production of HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy (where the mind paints the pictures), nor have access to the latest releases of music - on vinyl or on CD, nor to the archive of music that the BBC and others broadcast, nor to live performances ...

But perhaps I misunderstand, and that you are able to do all that via the Internet ..

You may wanna include a smiley or two in future.

Else I think it's guyb's choice to listen to the radio or not. :)

I never listen to music on the radio because they don't play any music that I like. I use the internet for everything else like news etc. so I have no need for a tuner.
