    Doesn't say so on the website, but my xbox cannot connect for the last few days, says xbox live unavailable.

    xbox seems to know there's an update needed.
    but the last connection test out of the four fails..

    damn.

    No, my highly reliable and technologically advanced Linksys modem/router needed rebooting for some reason, even though surfing still worked.

    Wish I'd seen your post bonesy mine had EXACTLY the same prob last week until Colesy advised rebooting all equipment, Linksys wireless Router(BEFSW11S4) and Linksys ethernet bridge (WET11) It turned out to be WET11.

    Matt, tell me about it. Not been on Live all week thinking it was having an update, not have to remember to give the thing a boot once in a while. Still, work are giving me a netgear to use, so will swap out.

    Oh no not the dreaded netgear - another router that has problems with people not hearing you or you not hearing them - make sure you set up the ports correctly and hopefully it will work fine.
