is this video card suitable for a HTC

    hi i am currently building a htpc and i found this card it is a sapphire ati 9600 256mb card
    and i was wondering whether this card would be suitable for a HTPc
    it does not state whether the card has a fan or not i have mailed there sales staff but i am not hopefull in getting a straight answer
    has anybody got any comments or experience with this card

    I must admit for the price i am seriously tempted but i will wait until i get some feedback from you guys :rolleyes:

    somebody on here bought one the other day and it is apparently fanless :)

    I'm sure they'll notice this thread and confirm..



    It's also more than good enough for HTPC use...

    I've got a Sapphire Atlantis 9600 128MB and it's fanless.

    AFAIK, there's not much point in getting a 256MB card as there are no games/apps that can take advantage of it.

    the only reason i was going to go for the 256mb was because there was only a tenner difference thats all really then in the future when i upgrade the HTPC card it will get demoted to my work desktop
