LG are selling a 40" RPTV that claims it can display a 1080i image. the model number is RE-40NZ60RB. the model specs say it can do:

    Support FORMAT
    Vertical-frequency
    Horizontal-frequency

    1. 1920x1080i 60Hz 33.75 KHz

if this is correct how could i test this?

this unit is only about £900 and is on sale in the UK now. it has 2 componant inputs, 3 x scarts, twin tuners.

does this sound right or is it not possible for the price?

LG has very little concrete info on this and the specs are for a chasis number which includes 2 or 3 other model numbers.

    D-VHS, or HD satellite.

    >does this sound right or is it not possible for the price?

US prices have got very low and HD input does not always mean capable of showing full HD res.
