Is this the UK version of the RP82?

    about £200
    I can't find the RP82 in the UK... Is this it?
    Is my search finally over?

    Also, if it's not - what's the closest panasonic available in the UK
    (with component out)

    Yes it is the UK version, I have one, but it's not the same. It's 'tailored' to our UK market as in no prog scan and no component outs. Probably other differences aswell. I just bought it because it plays my ram discs.

    So which Panasonic is the closest to this with Component out?

    Not at present sadly, Though it might the be the case that the XV10, RV32, RV62 and the RV82 might be replaced sometime this year as at the CES in Las Vegas Panasonic announced a new range of DVD players an they all play DVD-RAM's as well, see this thread ,

    Hopefully when Panasonic UK release these new models they give a few of these models Component out as well Progressive PAL/NTSC because it does seem mad that their very popular Panasonic Plasma screens whch all have Component input but none of the current Panasonic UK models have Component output.
