I can get a reel of 50m of Profigold Air Bass Flex PGC81546 bi-wire speaker cable for £50. Seems like a good price to me but is it any good? I have found a website which sells it for £7.10 per m. I found some specs below.

Solid Core conductor produces outstanding Bass response

Silver Plated OFC Conductors deliver increased sense of clarity & tightest bass

Additional Air Foam Insulation layer ensures transient response of high frequencies

Silver plated stranded 99.96% Oxygen Free Copper conductors

Solid 99.96% Oxygen Free Copper bass conductors

4 way side-by-side, low profile design

    Specs:

For that sort of price, you really ought to be getting 2.5mm or even 4mm CSA cable. This is still only 1.5mm and so imnsho not worth it. Also, the whole part-stranded/part-solid core seems like a total gimmick to me.

But the cost actually only works out at £1 per meter.

Do you actually need bi-wire cable or are you planning to make 2x3mm out of it instead of 4x1.5m?

Even with 2x3mm it isn't cheap at £1 a meter compared to some alternatives, but if you are planning to bi-amp I'd look elsewhere as 1.5mm isn't really enough.
