I have a Sharp Aquos LC-206BE 20" Lcd TV, and the problem that i have is that the screen has sustained impact damage. There is some visibility however. By the way the pictures below are when the tv is switched on.

Are there any local repair shops that would give you a free quote/estimate?

Have you got any warranty on the screen?

as its the weekend i have had no chance to ask local repair shops. There is no warranty on this item. Would you say it was repairable and how would you describe the fault?

    Thanks

Yeah, the panel is the most expensive part I think? You might as well just buy a new one and get the latest model.

Would you mind elaborating on what sort of impact damage it was? It would help give some idea how fragile/robust these screens are.

A Sharp dealer at this years Ideal Home Exhibition told me that the screens were very sturdy and proceeded to give a Sharp GA5 on display a series of hard bashes with his hand. It survived without problem but even so I was glad it was not my screen. He also said that they regularly withstood coke can impact at prisons...I viewed this comment as marketing bullsh.t.
