I am trying to help a friend. He has an old tv in the kitchen which only has an Rf input. In his lounge he has an old tv with 2 scart connections and an Rf input, sky plus and a dvd player.
Can the system be set up so that you can watch sky plus in the lounge and someone can watch a dvd in the kitchen? If this is possible how do you do it?

It is almost certainly going to be cheaper to buy a DVD player for £20 than running extra cable etc.

you would need to modulate the output of the DVD player to view in the kitchen its possible but frought with issues a DVD player is cheaper than the modulator....easier to watch sky in kitchen via RF2 and DVD in the lounge and move rooms rather than distribute over RF

How would you distribute over RF assuming the Kitchen tv has one RF input (the only input)? My friend seems to think that with his old sky box before sky plus he was able to watch sky in the lounge, have his dvd player in the lounge and his wife watch the dvd in the kitchen at the same time. I can't figure out how he did this. Anyone any ideas?

There would have to be some sort of modulator in the loop. The modulator need to be positioned before the Sky box to Aerial into modulator, then modualtor out into the Aerial input on the sky box and then RF2 to the Sky.

This will give the ability to watch either DVD or Sky in either Lounge or Kitchen
