is this normal?

    hi just bought a epson tw .10 but there seems to be a lot of heat building up around the outer plastic and front vent is this normal?

    Projectors do get hot to the touch, especially around the out-vent which is where the heat is disip.. disp.. diss... expelled. ;)
    Make sure there's plenty of air space all round the unit...PJ

    Mine gets very hot above where the vent is (on the top) but I've had it on for many hours at a time without any apparent negative effects. I don't worry about it - just make sure there's lots of space in front of the vent.

    There's a 132Watt lamp inside, so it's going to get fairly warm. Just make sure that the airflow through the projector is unimpeded and clean the filer regularly.
