For audio quility alone thses specs seem very low quality, although this may be typical of such systems. If the quality of the sound doesn't concern you rather the surround effect and the fact that music and sounds come out of them, then this will do in that respect.

As a whole machine I couldn't say but pionneer usualy make good DVD recorders and if its based on an existing model as it suggests then this would be a good buy (depending on price) for that function.

    Surround RMS Front 110 W (3 ohm, 10% THD)
    60 W (6 ohm, 10% THD)

    Surround RMS Centre 110 W (3 ohm, 10% THD)
    60 W (6 ohm, 10% THD)

    Surround RMS Surround 110 W (3 ohm, 10% THD)
    60 W (6 ohm, 10% THD)

    Surround RMS Subwoofer 70 W (3 ohm, 10% THD)
    60 W (6 ohm, 10% THD)

    Thanks gazbarber! :smashin:

I saw the Pioneer name and thought that the sound spec would not be an issue.

I think I need to do some more detailed 'spec checking' next time.
