Is this laptop deceased?

My daughter has spilt a glass of wine on her laptop and now says it does not work. Is there a cure or is it ready for the bin please?

Probably goosed the mother board. Wine is quite acidic and will cause a lot of damage. The hard drive might be recoverable in terms of data though.

Almost certainly fried the motherboard and probably knackered the keyboard as well. Unless you have accidental damage cover for it then it is not worth repairing as standard warranty doesn't cover this. As noiseboy72 says the hard drive should be intact so you should be able to recover data off of it if necessary.
