1 worry - it doesnt mention HDCP.

i have had a few (im selling the one i have at mo as i have a new amp with av switching) and have found that sometimes the pictures suffer on the cheaper switch boxes although im not aware of this brand.

I've been wondering about this as I've just bought an HDDVD player to partner my regular DVD player, and my Panasonic PT-AX100 projector only has one HDMI port. After a bit of research, I've bought one of these:

http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/...f/1012/hdmi-switching-unit-2-way/display.html

When I saw the price of some of the other fancier HDMI switches (£150-£200 in some cases) I nearly keeled over!! Glad to say that this bog standard manual switch works perfectly, can even switch between DVD & HD-DVD whilst they are playing with no worries. The HDMI cables that I'm using are a £13 1m Fisual Pearl cable, the free 2m cable that came with the HD-DVD player and a £10 0.5m cable from Ebay. Again, are all cheap cables that work perfectly.

With this setup I see zero picture degredation, and if it was there I'd know on a 100" screen!!

Could you tell me the length of each of the HDMI Cable connecting from your SKY HD box & X360 Box to the Bambridge HDMI Switch and the length from the Bambridge Box to your HDMI projector (I suppose)?

I was told that video signal goes through more than 5 Metre HDMI ver.1.1 cable, there is a higher chance of degradation of video signal or no signal at all. My cable length is already 5 Metre long. Adding the length of connecting cable of 1 Metre from the Bambridge Switch to the HDMI TV, totallly it is 6 Metre long. It seems to me that you are also using long cable for connection. I hope that the Bambridge HDMI Switch is suitable for me.

Thank you

if the banbridge is powered it will act as a repeater, so you don't have to add the lengths of the cables together, it will amplifiy the signals again, so you can run the same 5m again. if it is passive(not powered) this does not apply and you might not even get to 5m

Thank you for your quick response. I understand that there is no problem of using powered HDMI Switch but it is 4 times or more expensive than a manual HDMI Switch. It seems that 'Emporer' using long cable connection through the Bambridge Manual HDMI switch. Therefore I would like to know the longest cable length that can connect through a manual HDMI switch box without fail
