The TV has been very good for 6 months, but when I was in the middle of "The Shining" thin green lines started to go up and down on the right side of the screen, they are about 10 cm long and run horizontally. I disconnected all extra equipment and tried another channel instead of the "video 2 input". The lines were still there but after a while I realised that this problem only appeard in "Smart" mode, - not so smart...

    Anyone with this problem?

Not seen them on my set.

However, what I do get now and then is a 'brown' screen with faint lines (about a dozen) running horizontally across the screen.

By 'brown' I mean that if you swap channels, just for a moment a blank dark screen appears before the new channel comes up, well mine is often brown, esp. when it's cold!

Gives the picture a ‘sepia’ tone. It’s also there at the back of the teletext screen.

Doesn't do it all the time so I’m reluctant to call in the service guy.

I've got this £1300 set which I so much wanted for so long and it's falling very short of my expectations.

    I think I’ve been robbed!

    Certainly had over by Sony.
