Just got home an had a leaflet put through the door, says

'How much is sky tv costing you ? '

goes on to offer a 'stealth card'

2 types of card are avaliable from digital technology.

stealth: includes all family channels, plus sky sports 1,2and 3 sky sport extra and all movie channels. 65 per 12 months

stealth plus:all the above plus all the other pay channels i.e film 4,disney,music,adults, racing, asian etc..plus sky box office £95 per 12 months.

it seems to be a french company with uk agents...

    Is this a scam ??

    cheers

    Of course it is.
Pass on the leaflet to the local trading standards or mail it direct to SKY.

Videoguard being successfully hacked would send shock waves throughout the industry, a small printed leaflet is not the place to hear of it.
But I am willing to let you experiment, send off the cash to an unknown company run by unknown people who are advertising an illegal product from a foreign coiuntry and let's see how you get on:)

As for digital channels in Europe how many of them that have been hacked use NDS's Videoguard, answer is none.

There was an article in the Satalite mag I get, they sent off for one but (no surprise), it didn't work.

They were then told as they lived in the UK they would need an additional box to run the card with. At this point they had an interesting conversation pointing out that the signal has no idea what country it has arrived in, and the Sky box is equally clueless.

They suspected this box would just be part 2 of the scam so bailed out at that point.

Of course you can send your money, then when it don't work just go down the nearest police station to report them, and yourself.

And if it could be done the world and his dog would be selling them on the net.

There is no successful hack for sky at the moment. Besides that, ANY viewing card purchased from anywhere other than an official source is illegal. This french company has been going for a while now, and has probably suckered quite a few people.

However if you are feeling rich, then go for it. If you do get sent a card then you'll have the most expensive ice scraper in your street :D
