Ordered Freaky Friday on the 17th.
According to the web site, 17th was the last day to order for X-Mass delivery.
Then got a message from them, telling me it was out of stock and wont ship untill 22nd.
Got an e-mail on the 22nd telling me it shipped.
On the door step this morning........

How quick is that......especially at Crimbo time.:smashin:

Similar thing happened to me. A CD went walkies from being dispatched on the 4th, asked for a replacement, it was duly sent on the 22nd and I received it today!

Very good service to think that Christmas is well upon us now.

Same happened to me with a couple of DVD's/CD's recently.

I think CDWOW must also have a warehouse in Sweden, and i think this is probably where 'out of stock' items are then fufilled.

    Anyone got a better theory?

I pre-odrded the 2 disc Seabiscuit Limited Edition when it appeared on CD-Wow about 2 months ago, at a rather nice £15.99. This was sent on 22nd and that arrived today!!! Even more pleased to see the price is now £23.99 on the website!

There are a terrific retailer. Only used them 3 times so far but really quick each time.
They do have a depot in Sweden for sure as this is where my latest title came from.
Don't whether they do use for 'out of stock' but I have my own theories as to why it is in Europe.....

Was going to give my nephew money for christmas, he came over with my mum on tuesday for a visit and picket out S.W.A.T for the X-Box as his present. It cost £39.99 at Game.

Play have it for £17.99. He could have had 2 :)

Personally, I cannot be more anti CD-Wow.

They were brilliant and I used them for eveything. Then I moved to Qatar, and despite being a "Worldwide Supplier", they refused to ship here, despite every other online company doing so.

So, as far as I am concerned they have refused to serve me and I will not use them again.

Which is a shame, because as I say they were excellent.....

    Ummmm... yeah, ok. :zonked:

I had two disks sent to me on the 21st and they arrived on the 24th. One of them was stamped Hong Kong, the other (a Criterion boxset) was stamped Singapore.

CD-Wow are absolutely brilliant and their customer service is second to none. I've used them dozens of times over the last 3 years and apart from their 'limited choice' of titles, they're my first port of call everytime.
