Yes, it's an awesome plasma. I suggest you get more than just the 1 scart input though. Try and get a component board for it too. There is also a combined component/s-video/composite board which offeres you even more connectivity (and is easier to get hold of I think).

You won't be disappointed with the PWD6, it's one of the best out there :smashin:

that's the price excluding VAT by the way. It's £1643.83 for this bundle:
1x Hitachi HTDK185 5.1 Surround Sound & DVD system with Freeview Digital TV Tuner
    1x Tilting Wallmount
1x JS Technologies Scart RGB to Plasma VGA Converter (provides better picture quality than using a scart board)
    1x VGA Cable

I suggest you call them and ask for an additional component/svhs/composite board and maybe drop that hitachi thing.

Ordered from nexnix on wednesday night(12/1/05) at 5pm.

I ordered a PWD6, Table Top stand, JS Tech RGB->VGA conv, Panny Scart Board, VGA->VGA and RGB scart lead.

Delivered arrived (up in Scotland) at 11-10am on friday(14/1/05). Now enjoying my new purchase. Only waiting on them forwarding my scart board(was told supplier had them back in stock, BUT they had none that day) so currently have everything wired through Js Tech box.

Can only praise the service so far, dealt with a guy called Kevin - very helpful.

Decided to go with them as I was considered Nec VR5, but couldn't view this panel and got the low down on it from nexnix. Decided on Panny 6 and Av-Sales had a good deal and get nothing but praise on here. Not really any difference in price(okay nexnix was a little cheaper) but had just spent more time to them on phone and felt comfortable ordering with them.

I will post when my scart board arrives, but so far so good!!!

Why do you need a scart board and JS box? What do you have hooked up to the TV? Surely the component/composite/svhs board would have been more useful?

Have my Telewest wired through JS box, my DVD player doesn't have component output.

I'd suggest getting a scart switcher or something. It makes more sense than using up another slot just for one extra scart socket. Use the money you save to buy a component DVD player! The difference in quality is worth it!

Horny Dragon, would doing it this improve/worsen picture quality ????

And, would it cause any extra problems with lip sync???

it strips sync out of signal most plasma especially Panny give much better results with this compare to scart board (which is a weak input) it works for ALL RGBS sources (SCART RGB) into panny and other compatible screens

Just been away and tryed connecting DVD through Telewest VCR scart. Works fine, but need DVD power on to get audio which results in picture loss as defaults to this..... so looks like it will have to be additonal scart board unless anyone has any other suggestions????

Yes, a scart switcher makes much more sense! Especially when the JS converter gives a much better quality signal.

Thanks for that.... think I've got my head round it.... Going to get JS Master Scart instead(don't want another unit on display if can be helped) and BNC component board for future use(and be able to try out old toshiba 240e dvd player via component)...

Now just have to see if Nexnix will let me chnage scart board ordered for the above items?!?!
