Been with Virgin since the stone age.

Been on the 200Mb Broadband package for a while, my last retention offer ran out and price is now up to £37 a month. (Broadband Only No Phone or TV)

Anyway did the normal phone to cancel.

1st Line offered reduced price to £35 a month (Refused)

Waited for call from 2nd Line, which came in today.

They have offered (On a New 12 month contract).

Speed increase to 350Mb Down 21Mb up
Price reduced to £30 a month Guaranteed for 18months

Have told them I will think about it.

What do you think, any better offers out there for BB only, or is that as good as its going to get

Must Stress am happy with Virgin as in an area where I get the advertised speed, just want to keep the price down as much as I can

    Cheers

I would take that if offered

Only bit I can see which don't sound right, the usual monthly discount lasts for 18 months - but does not usually exempt you from the yearly price rises?.

Sounds pretty good to me...in comparison I just called as on 200mb with phone (@ £61pm!!) and just wanted to change to 100mb without phone. Best I was offered was £38pm with phone or without (no difference) on 12 month contract.

Got a bit annoyed and explained I might as well cancel and just said I'd think and call back.
Guess I should just cancel and see what happens.

Sky was easy - straight through to retentions and got 40% off my TV packages immediately. Virgin are just useless and quite rude when talking to you.
