hi guys ,was on the other night asking for a decent priced plasma and was told by someone panasonic was a decent choice.is this a decent set http://www.webelectricals.co.uk/cgi-bin/webelectricals.storefront/EN/Product/1020 at a decent price. i watch a lot of sport and the odd movie, but i can't afford over £2000 so is it worth me buying or should i just stick with my 32" widescreen normal tv. plus can anyone tell me what the following means "Supplied with Scart Terminal board" (forgive me if this is a stupid question)...cheers guys

it's the very best on sale IMHO (mine is black)
black ones inc scart board are only £1580 at av-sales
silver ones without boards are only £1499 at richersounds

why are you so desperate to pay £200 more?
It has a 15 pin d-sub VGA socket, and 3 empty slots on the rear, if you want
to connect your panel to a SCART lead, you have to get a scart board to
slot into one of the empty slots.

You'll need some sound of some sort. The usual is to buy surround sound, you know you want to. Connection wise, which DVD recorder?

I've had mine 2 months now, and it's great
I use my hiifi 5:1 amp for the sound, much better than nasty tiny tv speakers
The usual way to connect your gear is Sky to Dvd rec to SCART terminal so
apart from some plasma feet or a wall mount (about £60) all you need is the
Panel with scart board from av-sales for £1580

I've got about 15 at any one time, :D but I do have one on my wall too, yes it's very nice thank you. I will shortly be changing it for a Hi def version, other than that I and my family are completely satisfied with it, I am changing for professional reasons only! I have clients to my house and have to show them the latest, greatest kit, a tragedy I know.
With your kit you could connect sky+ with s-video and stereo audio, then component video to the screen with one of these at the bottom of the page, 3 phono to 15pin, and not need any boards at all, just something to make the noise with. That will depend on budget and the size of your room.
