My first, though probably not last, post at this forum.
The first one will actually be sort of a question as I'm hoping y'all can help me with a problem I'm having.

I work in an electronics-store so I'm not brand new to all this. I still have alot to learn though.

I' having problems with my LG RH7800H recorder.
Well, I'm actually having problems with it's remote.
I have checked the remote with my mobilephones camera to see if the ir is working. It is...
To the point that it actually can control my two TV's without any problems.
The recorder won't acknowledge it tough.
    Any thoughts on this?

I have had this problem occur once before, to a customer at our store.
In his case though, the problem was with a Panasonic NV-VP21.
His remote couldn't control it, but it controlled other Panasonic TV's without any question.
After speaking with a Panasonic representative I found out that there is a way to reset the remote back to it's original state.
In Pana's case I think it was something like push the "ENTER"-button at the same time as you push the "2"-button. Do this for three seconds.
Well, could have been another two buttons, but that isn't really the point.
What all this is leading up to is me wondering if there is perhaps, a similar way to reset the LG remote?

I do realise that it could also be the iR-eye in the unit that is malfunctioning, in which case I have to send it to a repair-shop.
    Which I really can't since it's stolen...
Haha, no it really isn't, but I know first hand what sh*tty deals people get from these repair-shops, and I don't feel like losing my machine for a couple of weeks.

Appreciate all the help I get!

    You guys are slow!
    Haha, just kidding.
I waited about ten minutes or so, then decided to go in.
Found out that it was just a glitch with the iR-receiver.
Fully functional by now. And now three weeks of service for this baby.
And not even any "if you break this seal you're :censored:"

    Thanks anyways though!!
