On my Xbox 360 I got a cheap vga lead on ebay. Yet on the PS3 there just seems to be ones for £25 that does for wii and PS3.

Is there such a thing as a cheapo VGA lead for PS3?

I think there was a vga cable in the past for ps2 but it was more a developers cable I think and couldn't run all games. It plugged into the standard AV port. I think without the firmware officially supporting VGA its not going to happen on ps3. You'd need a hdmi to vga/dvi type converter box to get it to work without firmware support.

Plus you would need a hdmi to dvi cable but they are relatively cheap.
