I bought a Canon powershot G1 two years ago & within two months won an Olympus E10 + all the trimmings (lens attachments, case, power grip etc). Anyway the G1 hasn't been used since & it seems daft to just leave it in my bag. BUT is it actually worth selling? anyone had any experience of selling?

    Cheers

I'd try putting it on Ebay.

Do a good writeup for it, put some photos of it and start it at a pound.

You'll probably get quite a good rate for it.

I would suggest you try selling it here, but I dont think there is as much traffic here for camers as there is AV kit.

There is an excellent market for digital cameras and I would say you would perhaps get £200 for it on ebay, put a reserve of £150 and see how it goes. In relation to a D60 it's approx 1/3rd of the price so it would retail at least £400 new

Well, if there is a second hand market, and somebody finds a canon a40 with a broken hook in the batteries lid [in addition, it had a blue bag (a little bit bigger than the camera needs, but it was a prese nt), 128 Mb memory and 4 rechargeable batteries, but it could be sold appart], please contact me because somebody stole it. I know, I know, there is no use in announcing it, because I will never get it back... It is only that I need to complain :-(
