...but we are just to pig headed to admit it? When I say Sky, I mean the Sky channels in particular - Sky1 + mix, all the movie channels, all the sports channels and Sky News....
Take last night for example...Stargate season 7 preview was in widescreen. Hopefully a sign of things to come when the new season starts next Monday. It was followed by Batman Returns...in widescreen. These programmes were on Sky 1...
Sky 1 mix showed repeats of Sunday nights programmes...in WS.
The movie channels were full of movies in WS and Premier 1,2 &3 all had movies showing in 5.1 for the majority of the evening (for those of us lucky to have Sky+).
Sky sports was showing live Conference footie...in WS and Sky news was well,...Sky news.
On top of that, they've ditched the Sky + tenner a month fee from October 1st, reduced my second sub by a fiver and dimmed the logo's on Sky 1, mix and the sports channels...if only they'd ditch them completley...
Now, if anybody from UK Gold, Sci Fi channel or Living is watching...I KNOW WHAT'S ON NEXT...I CAN FIND OUT WHAT'S ON NEXT WEEKEND BY USING THE EPG YOU SUPPLY. THERE IS NO NEED TO PLASTER IT ALL OVER THE SCREEN!!!
But well done to the Sky channels...it's finally listening after 15 years... :smashin:

Technologically yes, but programming wise? Me thinks not.

Despite having about 100 "real" channels (not counting specialist or shopping chans.) I ended up watching BBC1 last night - They think it's all over, Billy Connelly's tour of England and Film 2003 were highlights. It was all in W/S and PQ was excellent and the programmes were engaging.

I do wish they'd ditch the BBC idents on-screen even though they are less intrusive then those on Sky (esp. MTV / UKTV and the laughable U music channel logo!). You'd know it was a BEEB channel as there'd be no ident and no ad breaks!
