hopefully this is in the right forum as it is remote control related..
Long story short My magic eye has stopped working, I've been doing a lot of research and yet to find an answer other then getting some new cable.. I am getting picture and sound but can not turn over!
So I am wondering is there a Bluetooth remote available that comes with some kind of device that can be placed in front of the sky box to be able to change channel?
This sounds like something that might be out there but typing in google Bluetooth remote for sky just takes me to sky q :D so was hoping someone has experience of such a device..
Any tips or pointers would be great. Thanks.

Most likely explanation is a bad connection stopping the Sky-Box 9V power supply output sending DC power to the magic eye, Is the LED on the eye lit ?

If it's not then you need to check any connections between RF2 out and the remote eye for say a whisper of screen or a break in the screen or central coax stopping the DC getting to the remote eye,

Best guess is a Belling Lee connector without the core conductor being properly soldered to deliver DC power to the magic eye.

No, the light has gone off, picture and sound are fine just can not turn over.
I did take the end connections off and cut them and re-attached but same issue.
I've never heard of a belling Lee connector, I assume that's just the name of the connection I use, however it certainly isn't soldered anywhere, I might have a look on YouTube later to see if there is a vid that shows what you are describing?
    Thanks for your input.

It's almost certainly the connection as discussed but also ensure you're still connected to RF2 and that the RF2 power is actually turned on.

i think the plan will be to buy some new connectors and give that a go!

also that sky+ app is pretty good. keeping me going for now!
