    Hi,

I am going to buy Spartacus, but with the R1 film being £10 more expensive is that price really worth the diffe  rence?. It is quite a big gap between R1 and R2. Reading the description they both seem the same except R1 is 10 mins longer on the film length than R2.
Has anyone got the film to express their veiws.

Your help will be much appreciated before I buy the film.

The R1 has the film on one disc, not spread across onto 2. Extras are the same (ones that Criterion originally assembled, I might add). The film's runtime is exactly the same if your factor ntsc speedup into the equation. I prefer the R1 as I don't have to change discs and the packaging is far nicer.

£10 difference? Where are you buying the R2?!

    The R1 is £14.99 at cd-wow

There are a couple of threads already about the difference and prices so check those out.

Essentially the price now is roughly the same, although the R2 will no doubt come down to a tenner in the future. R1 has the film on one disc and better packaging, the R2 had DTS.
