is the serial number on the box ?

i always write down the serial numbers of my equipment but i've forgotten to do it with my ps3.since i don't want to move stuff and cause damage is the serial number on the box that it came in ?
there are 2 numbers on the box,1 starts with P- and the other S01- which one is the serial number please ?
