Does anyone know if just the plastic screen surface can be replaced, or will it necessitate the whole screen assembly to be swapped out?

    Hello Anfield

The drawback of the 'Direct Colour Filter' Pioneer use in the latest PlasmaTV models is you loose the ability to replace the Front Filter as its now bonded to the pixel array with the Colour filter sandwiched between the front plastic and the pixel layer.

If you damage the Front Filer your looking at a complete new assembly.

    Best regards

    Joe
