Although I do believe it's availability is limited. Is the KS7000 still a safe bet for the gamer demographic?

Is there any newer models or similar that can offer strong reviews like this one?

In the market for a UHD 4k around the 55" mark for Xbox one x low input lag Fps gaming and high def movies.
£1000 is appealing but can push abit higher if recommended.

Thanks chaps!

The KS7000 got lots of attention particularly because of it's HDR performance, if you're not particularly interested in that then every £1k TV will do well.

If you are then Samsung's Q7 would be the direct replacement and Sony's XE90 is it's main competitor. Panasonic's DX902 is worth a look too, although unlike the other two it probably won't reduce in price further over the next few months.

LG, Hisense and Vestel aren't making HDR TVs on that level and while Philips are rumoured to be bringing out an 8602 model with direct lit local dimming like their 65" 7601, they haven't announced it yet. IFA at the end of August is a common event for product launches though.

Sony XE9005 although it is more expensive at the moment. Its probably worth the extra over the Samsung if only 100-200 more.

Another vote here for the Panasonic DX902b. I've been playing Forza Horizon 3 on it and it is incredible. This coming from a converted Samsung fanboy haha.
